What is online, or in other words, real-time tracking?

In the case of online tracking systems, such as Nyomkovetes.net, the central unit in the vehicle sends the position data to the central server in real time.

In this case, the SIM card in the device sends the data to the central server via a GPRS connection. For offline tracking systems, on the other hand, the central unit is not connected to the server. It usually collects the data on a memory card, and the vehicle operator must disassemble the GPS device each time, remove the memory card, and then use a program to upload the stored data to a mapping software. Although such devices can usually be operated without a monthly fee, they do not allow real-time tracking of the vehicle.
