Our self-developed bicycle tracking device: Flexcom FB222

According to surveys of recent years, 35% of the population in Hungary ride a bicycle at least once a week. Most of them do it for transport reasons, a small part for sports and entertainment. A quarter of the population goes by bike to work, shopping or doing business. 7% of Budapest residents and 24% of rural residents cycle every day - and these numbers are constantly growing.

Theft

However, all good has its downsides. Along with the urge to cycle, bicycles are on the rise - and unfortunately, so is the number of thefts. There are about 10-11 thousand bicycle thefts a year and this is increasing by 15% every year - and that’s just the number of reported cases, in reality it could be much more than that.

Bicycle traffic

The damage caused by thefts is increasing every year, according to calculations it exceeds HUF 500 million (!) Per year - this is an average of HUF 50,000 per theft. But it’s not just about the direct damage value: if the bike is stolen, the program can be overturned, you can’t get to work, the store, or you have to cancel your sports or hiking program. All this is accompanied by the hassle of tracing and police administration - and the chances of finding it are not very high (around 20%).

What is the solution?

As with any trouble, it’s best not to happen here either. Prevention can save you a lot of inconvenience - and if it does, you should be able to deal with it quickly and effectively.

Of course, you can’t keep your bike 24 hours a day, nor can you tie your dog to it all the time. But you don't have to!

FB222 Try our self-developed and manufactured bicycle tracking device, the Flexcom FB222!

The device is easy to use, as it is delivered and ready for use - you just need to install it with the special safety screws you received from us under the bottle holder. Its own battery lasts for 30 days and when discharged, it can be charged like a mobile phone - without even having to dismantle it.

Installation

What happens if they move the bike or fiddle with the device?

The FB222 sends an alarm to your mobile phone in the event of any external impact or movement of the bicycle - so you can take immediate action. If you still can't prevent theft, then there is no big problem either: the device constantly sends the bicycle position data to our center, based on which you can follow its movement and route in real time on your phone and on a map. What’s more, you can display this at any time afterwards, so you can find your bike or give accurate directions to the police even hours or days after the event.

Not hidden, can be removed!

Although under the bottle holder is not in mind, but it can be found - already if someone knows what to look for.

Only this size… Only this size …

However, you can only disassemble it with the key you received from us with the device. Made with a rugged water and impact resistant metal cover, it is not easy to break down or smash. Sure, a chisel or jackhammer won’t last long - but that’s all time and noise! Meanwhile, go to the alarm…

What else can the device be used for?

The essence of the operation of the FB222 is detection, data collection, data storage and processing. It does all this with the help of our software service that works with it in the background - and the result can be used not only in law enforcement. For example, if you are cycling for sports, you can follow your route continuously, on a map or view it later, with the help of your device and our phone application, with detailed text and graphical statements and diagrams: when you went, at what speed and for how long, when and where he stopped, how high he managed to roll up the hillside, etc.…

Good news for professionals!

The device communicates with our control panel via mobile phone networks, using the same SIM card as your phone. The card is built-in, cannot be accessed from the outside, cannot be exchanged at home - but it works in any country in the world, so you can even plan a trip abroad with it. Developed primarily for bike owners, the device’s size and features make it perfectly suited for tracking other vehicles, people or luggage.

Hungarian tracking software with extra functions

The FB222 is backed by strong software support. The software developed by us in Hungarian allows us to communicate with the tracking device using an application available on a desktop computer or mobile phone. In this way, we can follow the distance traveled by the bike in real time on a map interface, and even look back at the routes traveled and the related data for months.
