Route points

The points that make up the route can be simple positions and can be points „filled” with some event. An event can be e.g. starting, stopping (waiting), or virtually any status change that is detected by a sensor and sent to the control panel by the GPS device. After querying a route, the system provides information about it in two places: on the map (drawing) and in the Tools menu.

Point information on the map

If you right-click on a point on the map (event or position marker), an information panel will appear with the relevant information about the point and the functions that can be started in connection with the point. The panel can be dragged by its header - which point it belongs to after all is indicated by a red dashed line around the point icon.

Route points

The panel can be closed with the X button. If the information panel of a point is open and you right-click on another point, the panel of the previous point closes and the one belonging to the current point opens. This means that only point information is shown on the map at a time. To see data for two points at once, use the following method:

If you left-click on the point on the map or the arrow next to it in the route panel, you select the point and your data is displayed in the route panel. If you then right-click on another point on the map, the map information panel of that other point will also be visible - so you can see the data of the selected point and another point at the same time.

Meaning of points

In the panel, the route is described by waiting points, the sections between them, and related information. Because a route is a trip in a specified time interval, the start and end points (First data, Last data) are not necessarily linked to an event - they indicate the map points that are closest to the start and end of the period, respectively.

There are waiting points and travel sections between the start and end points. Waiting points are points where the vehicle is parked. We distinguish between non-ignition and ignition waiting. In the former case, the vehicle is stopped and the ignition is switched off, in the latter case it is also stopped, but the engine is running.

If the Point information option is turned on during the query, in addition to the waiting points, the system will display all the points (arrows on the route) from which the GPS device has sent data to the control panel. These are accompanied by coordinates and some other basic data, and their role is primarily to draw the route as accurately as possible.

The selection of a point is indicated by a solid red outline on the map.
