Creating reports

Reports provide a large amount of unique and aggregate information about tracked objects, usually for a specified period of time.

Reporting steps

Reporting usually consists of three steps.

1. Enter parameters

After selecting the desired report, the window for setting the report parameters appears. Here you can set the conditions under which the report is generated, for example:

  • which objects apply,
  • what period to cover,
  • etc.

Exactly what settings you need or can make depends on the report you choose.

2. Preparation of the report

After entering the report parameters, click the Create Report button. The system then creates the statement and displays the result on the screen.

3. Export report

Export is optional - you can save or print the report to a file by opening and selecting the menu labeled Export in the upper right corner of the window displaying the completed report.

Export file type options:

  • EXCEL: The system saves the contents of the report in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, creating the necessary Excel workbook.
  • PDF: The system creates an Adobe Portable Document Format version of the report. This export type returns exactly the report format seen on the screen.

Once the export file has been created, it will be offered for opening or downloading - the options for this will be determined by the browser program we use.
